There is no difference. It’s the same company. We’ve simply changed our name to better reflect the true scope of our operation. Packaging is no longer about just glass and plastic, and neither are we. We’re about Packaging Solutions.
What are the most commonly used resins in the plastic bottle industry?
High and low density polyethylene, PET, PVC and polypropylene.
Can different resins be used in the same molds?
Yes the different resins can be used in the same molds but there can be different shrink factors.
What are the most commonly used methods for labeling plastic containers?
The most commonly used methods are screen print, heat stamping, pressure sensitive label and therimage (heat transfer).
What is the difference between a lined, an unlined and a linerless closure?
AA lined closure requires a liner, an unlined closure should have a liner but does not, and a linerless closure is not meant to have a liner.
Explain the difference between a land seal and a valve seal linerless closure?
A land seal seals at the land area. A valve seal seals in the bottle's lid.
What is the difference between a heat induction liner and a pressure sensitive liner?
A heat induction liner requires special equipment to apply. A pressure sensitive liner applies with regular torque.
What is the definition of AQL?
AQL is acceptable quality level.
What is the definition of "T" dimension?
The "T" dimension is the outside dimension of threads.
What is the definition of "H" dimension?
The "H" dimension is the height of neck finish from land to neck.
Can a tube be extruded to any length or is there a limit in length to a given diameter?
The limit is dependent upon the diameter of the tube.
What 3 types of printing are offered on tubes?
The three types are offset, screen printing, and hot stamping.
